In war-torn Ukraine, a first-of-its-kind mental health center aims to heal as ‘part of our survival’

Dr. Sofiya, a visiting Ukrainian scholar of the SAR program, works with her supervisor and colleague Dr. Oleh at a first-of-its-kind mental health center that aims to heal as ‘part of our survival’ in war-torn Ukraine. The mental health center opened back in October, serving a majority of military personnel suffering from depression, PTSD, anxiety, and psychosomatic disorders.
